Bandai's Grand Ship Collection transforms the famous vessel into a compact plastic model while retaining many of the visual elements that make the Sunny immediately recognisable. At the bow sits its cheerful lion-head figurehead, while the colourful hull combines wood-like brown sections with bold red and white elements. 🦁 Iconic Lion-Head Figurehead One of the model's most distinctive features is the Thousand Sunny's famous lion figurehead. Its bright and cheerful appearance gives the vessel its unmistakable personality while concealing the powerful Gaon Cannon within the ship's fictional design. Bandai recreates this recognisable bow section as a focal point of the completed model. ⛵ Detailed Straw Hat Pirate Ship Despite its compact size, the model incorporates many recognisable details from the Thousand Sunny. Highlights include the large curved white mainsail featuring the Straw Hat Pirates' Jolly Roger, green grass-covered deck, lookout structure, side paddle-wheel details and distinctive aft section. These elements give the completed model plenty to explore without requiring a large amount of shelf space. 🌊 Two Display Options One of the kit's most attractive features is its versatile display system. Full Hull Display Assemble the complete Thousand Sunny and position it on the included blue oval display base for a clean traditional model presentation. Waterline & Wave Display Alternatively, configure the ship with the included transparent blue wave-effect pieces to create the appearance of the Thousand Sunny travelling across the sea. The translucent effects add an instant miniature diorama feel without requiring collectors to build their own water scenery. 🔧 Beginner-Friendly Snap-Fit Assembly You don't need to be an experienced scale modeller to enjoy building the Thousand Sunny. Bandai uses a snap-fit construction system, meaning the model's parts are designed to press together during assembly without requiring glue for the standard build. The parts are also moulded in the ship's principal colours, so painting is not required to achieve a colourful finished model. A supplied sheet of decorative stickers provides additional markings and finishing details. 🎨 Great for Beginners – Customisable for Experienced Modellers Straight from the box, the Thousand Sunny is designed to produce an attractive result without painting. Beginners can simply assemble the coloured components and apply the supplied stickers. More experienced hobbyists can also use the kit as a foundation for additional detailing, painting, panel work or weathering to create their own customised version of the Straw Hat Pirates' ship. 📏 Compact Bookshelf-Friendly Size At approximately 13–15cm long when assembled, the Thousand Sunny has been designed with compact display spaces in mind. Its smaller footprint makes it ideal for positioning: Alongside One Piece manga volumes Between anime figures Inside display cabinets On desks and bookshelves Within larger Straw Hat Pirate collections You get the satisfaction of building a model without needing to dedicate a large display area to the finished ship. 📦 Box Contents Thousand Sunny multi-part plastic model kit Complete ship hull components Rigid sails Pre-printed Straw Hat Jolly Roger mainsail Blue display base 2x Transparent blue wave-effect parts Decorative marking sticker sheet 🎁 Perfect For One Piece fans Monkey D. Set sail for the Land of Wano with the Straw Hat Pirates and build a special version of their legendary ship with the Bandai One Piece Thousand Sunny Land of Wano Kuni Ver. Model Kit. Inspired by the One Piece Wano Country arc, this special-edition Thousand Sunny recreates the Straw Hats' famous vessel with themed details reflecting its adventures in Wano. The ship retains its unmistakable lion figurehead, towering masts, Straw Hat Jolly Roger and grass-covered deck, while exclusive decorative elements give this version its distinctive Wano appearance. Standing approximately 28–30cm when completed, this is a substantial model designed to become a centrepiece in a One Piece collection. Bandai's multi-colour injection-moulding technology provides parts in their principal colours, while the precision snap-fit construction means no glue is required for standard assembly. Painting is also optional, making it possible to achieve an impressive result directly from the box. The set becomes even more special thanks to its miniature Straw Hat crew figures dressed in their Wano outfits, alongside mini vehicles, Wano-themed markings and a dedicated display stand. For One Piece fans who enjoy model building, this Thousand Sunny combines an iconic ship, a memorable story arc and Bandai's renowned model-kit engineering into one impressive display piece. 🔧 Product Details Specification Details Product Thousand Sunny Land of Wano Kuni Ver. Its cheerful lion figurehead, elaborate deck and enormous sails give it an unmistakable personality worthy of Monkey D. Luffy and his crew. This special model takes the familiar Thousand Sunny and adapts it to one of the Straw Hats' greatest adventures: their journey through the Land of Wano and the battle surrounding Onigashima. 🏯 Special Land of Wano Kuni Edition What separates this model from a standard Thousand Sunny kit is its Wano-themed presentation. The included decorative elements and markings are designed to give the ship a distinctive appearance connected to its adventures during the Wano storyline. The result is a Thousand Sunny that feels specifically tied to this memorable chapter of One Piece, making it particularly appealing to collectors building a Wano-themed display. 👒 9 Straw Hat Crew Miniatures The ship isn't the only attraction in the box. This edition includes nine miniature Straw Hat crew figures, represented in outfits inspired by their appearances during the Wano arc. The included crew consists of: Monkey D. Luffy Roronoa Zoro Nami Usopp Sanji Tony Tony Chopper Nico Robin Franky Brook The miniatures help transform the completed ship from a standalone model into a much richer Straw Hat Pirates diorama. 🚢 Mini Vehicles Included The kit also includes mini maritime vehicles associated with the Thousand Sunny's docking system. These smaller accessories add another layer of detail to the build and provide additional elements for collectors to arrange around the completed ship. Combined with the crew figures, they make this Wano edition particularly generous in terms of display content. 🎨 Multi-Colour Injection Moulding Bandai uses multi-colour injection-moulded components to reproduce many of the Thousand Sunny's principal colours directly through the plastic parts. This means you don't need to completely paint the ship to achieve a colourful and recognisable finished model. The included stickers and decorative markings add further details during the final stages of construction. For more experienced model builders, painting, panel lining and weathering remain optional ways to further customise the ship. 🔧 Snap-Fit Assembly – No Glue Required The Thousand Sunny uses Bandai's precision snap-fit construction system. Parts connect mechanically during assembly, eliminating the need for traditional model cement during a standard build. No glue is required. A good pair of model-making nippers is recommended for cleanly removing the components from their sprues. 📏 Impressive Approx. 30cm Display Piece At approximately 28–30cm when completed, this isn't one of Bandai's miniature Grand Ship Collection models. The larger format gives the Thousand Sunny substantially greater shelf presence while allowing more of the ship's characteristic deck, hull, sail and decorative details to be appreciated. It's particularly well suited to becoming the centrepiece of a dedicated One Piece shelf alongside figures of the Straw Hat crew. 🛠️ Building Experience With approximately 190–210 components and an estimated assembly time of around 3–5 hours, the Thousand Sunny Land of Wano Kuni Ver. offers a satisfying intermediate-level building project. The snap-fit construction keeps the process accessible, while the ship's numerous decorative elements, miniature figures and Wano-themed details provide enough complexity to make the build rewarding for more experienced hobbyists. Painting isn't required, although the crew miniatures and smaller details can be customised for an enhanced finish. 📦 Box Contents Thousand Sunny Land of Wano Kuni Ver.
